How Calvora started
Calvora began after years spent watching capable reporters get stuck not on facts, but on the sheer volume of them — interview notes, permit filings, correspondence, all piling up faster than any one person could keep straight.
The work started small: a folder template shared with one reporter, then a few worked examples on how zoning documents actually read. Over time it became something closer to a practice, though a modest one — sessions rather than retainers, specific help rather than general consulting.
What hasn't changed is the underlying instinct: a well-organised file often does more for a story than another week of digging.
